   FACT: The head is responsible for the greatest heat loss while diving, up to 35%. FACT: Other hoods use neoprene that contains lots of air bubbles, the claim being they are comfortable. However, lots of bubbles create a hood that easily compresses while diving – good-bye thermal protection! The neoprene is getting thinner just when you need it the most! FACT: Many divers think it’s their wetsuit or drysuit making them cold, when it’s often a hood lacking in quality design and materials. SOLUTION: SEASOFT uses compressed neoprene in the three back panels for unsurpassed warmth. SEASOFT Hoods do NOT get thinner at depth; they keep you warm and toasty throughout your dive. All SEASOFT Hoods are designed without seams in the middle of the chin for real comfort. Many companies put seams down the middle of the chin because it’s less expensive to manufacture this way, but it’s not the right way. SEASOFT hoods use up to 5 different kinds of neoprene to ensure they work right all the time in all conditions. Both the 6 MM PRO and the SEASOFT PRO/3 have two layers of Titanium Foil Technology™ for extra warmth. The SEASOFT PRO/C3 and PRO/C6 are commercial hoods designed for use with a full-face mask. They are really comfortable and easy to wear, available in regular dry and wetsuit styles in 3 or 6 mm. So there you have it, warm AND comfortable hoods! |
